Liz S. Way and the rest of The Komen Tissue Bank Team sends us big thanks!
WOW! I can not believe that the September event is now behind me. It was an amazing day! I first want to apologize to all of you that were involved with the bus scheduling confusion. I know some of you drove and others stayed here in Indy. I feel absolutely terrible about it. I want to say that I am sorry!!! I promise to do better in the future.
We are deeply grateful for your willingness to volunteer at our tissue collection event at Stroger Cook County Hospital on Saturday. After every tissue collection event, I am always amazed by our volunteers! Everyone is so willing and motivated to make the day a success. It is truly overwhelming for me. If I did not get an opportunity to personally say hello and thank-you, I apologize.
Together we collected from 71 women! You made this possible, you made this a success! I also want to say thank you to so many of you that also donated on Saturday!
It was an amazing day! We are grateful to have so many terrific volunteers who help our events run like clockwork. Volunteers like you are the backbone of our events – and what fabulous volunteers we had and so many! I know the day was slower than what we typically used to but I hope you still enjoyed yourself.
We realize that you donated personal time to volunteer on Saturday - we thank you. I am always open to feedback on how we can improve the events and volunteer and donor experience. Please send me an email with any feedback.
If you know anyone who would like to get on our volunteer list, please let us know. We would love to have them at a future event. I know many of you have been asking about signing up for the November 3rd event. I will be sending out a recruitment email either later today or tomorrow.
Again, thank you for your dedication to the cause of eradicating breast cancer and thank you for participating in this extraordinary endeavor. Let us know if you know of anyone who volunteered who did not receive this email so we can properly acknowledge them.
